The Gospel Industry Mourn The Death of Kayla Parker-Tolbert

Kayla Parker-Tolbert Gospel Music Bites Mourns The Death of Kayla Parker-Tolbert. It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the death of an extremely talented and beautiful lady who has offered so much to this world through music. Her ear for great harmonies and her beautiful smile is what we will always remember of Kayla Parker-Tolbert.

Like most of the world, I have come to know her through Kayla collaborations with some of today’s leading artists such as Vickie Winans, Marcus Cole, CeCe Winans, Bebe Winans, Special Gift and many others both in secular and gospel music. When Kayla’s name was listed on an album, I would pay special attention and go straight to those songs first. Kayla Parker-Tolbert voice and vocal styling were second to none and Kayla will surely be missed by all who know her personally and through the music that she loved so much.

The Home Going Celebration for her will be this coming Saturday, April 28th @ 11:00 @ First Church of God…Center of Hope (information listed below), Bishop Gregory Dixon. There will be a mass choir rehearsal Thursday evening @ 7:30 @ First Church and the choir is open to all who knew Kayla and would like to participate. At the request of her family, the choir will sing one song, “I Call You Faithful (recorded by: COTH)” to be lead and directed by Kurt Lykes.

Gospel Music Bites pray that the Lord will be with Kayla’s family and that the Lord will help them through this difficult time.
