Gospel music’s newest sensation Jerard Woods has been a back-up singer for some of gospel music’s leading artist, such as Martha Munizzi, Israel Houghton, Juanita Bynum, Donald Lawence, Aaron Neville, Michael W. Smith and many others. He’s spent most of the last decade performing with CeCe Winans.
Jerard Woods realizing a lifelong dream, he and his brother, Terry Woods, recently launched Found Sound Music.
This week his debut CD, “I Waited,” hits stores nationwide. The brothers wrote and arranged most of the songs on the contemporary gospel album.
After years of supporting other artists vocally, Jerard Woods says that he waited until God’s timing to launch his solo career. The core message of the new release is also Jerard Woods‘ testimony: God is king.
Jerard Wood said: “I had to take the time to learn that there’s more to it than just saying those words,” he says. “God is in charge of every aspect of my life, and if I exalt Him, He will take care of me in a most magnificent way.”
