MARVIN WINANS IS SET TO RELEASE HIS FIRST SOLO PROJECT: “Alone But Not Alone”

Marvin Winans is set to takes center stage as he preps for his first solo debut, Alone But Not Alone. The album should hits stores on September 25, 2007.

The multi-award winning tenor and his siblings Ronald, Carvin & Michael made up the quartet, The Winans. Their distinctive, contemporary sound was way ahead of its time and rocked many boats in the church world, but was well received by mainstream radio.

The four brothers reaped a string of hits and awards in the 90’s, paving the way for BeBe & CeCe and the entire Winans Family. Keeping things close to home, “Alone But Not Alone” will be released on Marvin Winans‘ younger sister’s (CeCe Winans) label, PureSprings Gospel in the fall and distributed by EMI.

Now Marvin Winans is back with a collection of songs that remains true to the Winans sound. This go around he takes to the stage alone, but not totally alone. Marvin Winans, also the pastor of Detroit’s Perfecting Church, teams up with a singer’s singer, Kim Burrell on the jazzy ballad, “Try” and his twin brother Carvin on “My Story.

However, the heart-stirring, “You Just Don’t Want to Know” has already rolled out of the box, and is going for adds at radio August 14th. Although there are several tunes for fans to adopt as a personal favorite, one that will stand out is the mid-tempo, “I Still Believe.” “Alone But Not Alone,” co-produced with the legendary Tommy Sims, is ready to hit the airwaves so keep those ears tuned.
