FRED HAMMOND AND KIRK FRANKLIN HEADLINE CALIFORNIA GOSPEL FEST: To be held at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom
The California Gospel Fest has announced its plans for the 2007 event. Gospel Fest has been in existence for more than five years and has featured notable gospel entertainers, including Donnie McClurkin and Mary Mary. This year is no different.
Gospel greats Kirk Franklin and Fred Hammond will take to the stage as the 2007 headliners. The fest takes place on August 25th from 12 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (Chabot Stadium) in Vallejo, CA.
The California Gospel Fest is the Bay Area’s largest outdoor gospel event of its kind. The festival offers local, national and international Gospel entertainment on two stages with more than 50 performances. This will be held at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.
The California Gospel Fest serves to seek and celebrate the creative, historical, and social significance of Gospel music, an art form created by the African American community, having a great impact on American culture and history today! The California Gospel Fest attracts visitors from around the country and abroad for an amphitheatre experience of Gospel at its best.
Past performers include: Walter Hawkins, Mary Mary, Yolanda Adams, Daryl Coley, Men of Standard, John P. Kee & New Life Community Choir, The Williams Brothers, Fred Hammond & Radical For Christ, Bobby Jones & New Life, Sounds of Blackness, Richard Smallwood & Vision, Dottie Peoples & The Peoples Chorale, Shirley Caesar, Kierra Kiki Sheard, The Winans, Smokie Norful, and Tye Tribbett & GA.
