TD JAKES, EDDIE LONG, CREFLO DOLLAR, JOEL OSTEEN IS “Under Fire”:by Talk Show Host Reuben Armstrong

National Talk Show host Reuben Armstrong has a problem with today’s mega churches and their leaders. Specifically, he thinks TD Jakes, Eddie Long, Creflo Dollar, and Joel Osteen are using the word of God to manipulate the true believers for fame and fortune. Dallas, TX (PRWEB) August 7, 2007 — The Reuben Armstrong Show airs on Streaming Faith which is the largest Christian based website in the world and broadcasts in eight states and on TV around the World. Reuben Armstrong will release a new book titled “Snakes in the Pulpit.” The book is scheduled for release on August 29th, 2007. Reuben Armstrong will be sending a certified letter to these four pastors asking them to resign from their positions as Pastors because they are “deceiving true believers.”

Reuben Armstrong thinks they are deceivers and his new book, “Snakes in the Pulpit,” will expose “the deception of these four pulpit pimps.” Armstrong accuses these pastors of “using the word of God to get rich and support their royal families.”

There are several mega-churches that are featured on national TV and radio that have spawned a new type of celebrity: “Mega-pastors.” These men have risen in stature and gained the public’s trust as irreproachable men of God as their churches have attracted hundreds of thousands of members and millions of viewers and listeners.

“Judgement day is coming: their status nor money won’t get them to heaven,” Armstrong said.

The book is due out on August 29th. Read more about Reuben Armstrong and his book at www.snakesinthepulpit.com.

I thank that Reuben Armstrong just wants to make money with his new book, because if there are mega-churches there must be mega-people that go there. Reuben Armstron just called these mega-people, Mega-fools who do not know any better. Now who is trying to fleece whom????

It’s really amazing to see things like these being spoken by christians. For a man to accuse a minister of anything,he must have facts and even if his facts are correct,he has one responsibility which is stated in Galatians 6:1.It just shows that our man is not spiritual. We need to learn more of God’s Word;I think it will help us better understand the heart of the Father and also remember that God does not see the way man sees.

    Hello Reuben,
(Who is Reuben Armstrong never heard of you.)

What a day when the tables turn!

You seem to be no different from the people you write about.

All about the money and fame. It looks like you are ridding on their tickets.

Please forgive me if i am judging you wrongfully.

Sorry but that is just my opinion.

    Respectfully Michael.

I’ve never heard of Reuben Armstrong and just happened to come across this story while looking for something else but felt as though a response was needed.

The enemy has deceived the world and some Christians into believing that God has called “His children” to be poor but, I’d like to submit:

Psalms 50:12 *God speaking* “….for the world is mine and the fullness thereof.”

3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

Mark 2:15 “And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him”

John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Romans 8:17 “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

There are plenty of scriptures that could be used but I’ve only referenced those listed above: If the world and the fullness thereof belongs to God and we are joint heirs, with Christ, as children of God then why would Christians, children of God be poor? Mark 2:15 is proof that Jesus, himself, had a house. And we all know that Judas was the treasurer, among the disciples, why would there be a need for a treasurer unless there was money to be kept? Also, notice 3 John 1:2, “…that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” So, we can see from this verse that prospering DOES include financial abundance for health and prospering of the soul are mentioned separately.

It is a shame that Mr. Armstrong has written a book in an attempt to “expose” the pastors and seek financial gain from this situation. I believe if he believed in their ministries and their positions in the Kingdom of God, he would sit down with each of them, instead of writing a book.

I would ask my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ not to turn this discussion into a “battle of wit”, getting upset; for we know the truth. When Jesus was tempted of the devil in the wilderness, he resisted the devil by quoting the Word so let us do the same when we post; for the Word is sharper than any two-edged sword.

Matthew 24:35 “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
