Less than one week after the alleged assault on his wife Juanita Bynum in the car park of an Atlanta hotel, Fox 5 TV in Atlanta report that Bishop Thomas W.Weeks III was back in the pulpit at Global Destiny Church in Duluth, GA.
According to the Atlanta Constitution-Journal, Bishop Thomas Weeks III remarks included appreciation for the prayers and support that he said have come in for him and his wife Juanita Bynum and thanks to those in attendance in spite of the controversy.
40-year-old Bishop Thomas Weeks III sparked thunderous applause and cheers when he asked members to tell those seated next to them, “We’ve got certain things going on right now, but I refuse to stop coming to the house God built.”
Bishop Thomas Weeks III, described by the paper as wearing a dark suit and his customary bow tie, blamed the devil for his alleged action that has him facing two felony charges. He didn’t, however, offer any specifics before introducing a guest minister who preached in his stead, then exiting the room.
Parishioners were tight-lipped about what went on inside. They are asking that we all pray for their church and Bishop Thomas Weeks and Juanita Bynum.
