Why should he leak anything out, when anything he could practically say can open up his case?

Anybody, Would take the chance of opening your big mouth against yourself when you case has dismissed or terminated and can by file against at the court’s will. Suspension does not equal dismissed or terminated.

I think the courts have made a wise decision here because if either of the two get on talk shows and act up against the other the case can go back to state of where they left it.

Lastly, if you’re going to report something use your own words and not plagerize “article” commentation.

“Dead-docketing has been characterized as a procedural device by which ‘the prosecution is postponed indefinitely but may be reinstated at any time at the pleasure of the court.’”1 “‘Placing a case upon the dead docket certainly constitutes neither a dismissal nor a termination of the prosecution in the accused’s favor. A case is still pending which can be called for trial at the judge’s pleasure, or upon which the accused can make a demand for trial.’”2

On October 29, 2007, a Fulton County Judge granted a motion by the Fulton County Assistant Deputy Attorney to place the indictment on the dead docket and release the surety of the bail bond. Click here to see a copy of the stamped indictment.

While dead docketing the case does not constitute a dismissal of the indictment against Bishop Thomas Weeks, it does appear that the Prosecution is not confident that they can secure a conviction in this case at this present time.

Sidebar: I am surprised that the mainstream media outlets have not reported on this latest development. Moreover, I am surprised that Bishop Weeks’ camp did not leak this information to the media.
