JUANITA BYNUM AND BISHOP THOMAS WEEKS III MEET IN COURT:
Bishop Thomas Weeks and his estranged wife Evangelist Juanita Bynum meet behind a locked courtroom door, along with a group of attorneys.
They met for over five hours, according to a report from an article in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution January 11th issue. After the meeting they slipped out a back door. No one involved in the meeting would discuss details.
The meeting was supposed to be a discussion on whether Bishop Thomas W. Weeks III, would agree to plead guilty in Fulton County Superior Court to felony charges for allegedly beating, stomping, choking and threatening to kill Juanita Bynum at an Atlanta hotel parking lot on August 21st.
The couple’s divorce is pending in Gwinnett County Superior Court.
Bishop Thomas Weeks, a 40 year-old senior pastor of Duluth’s Global Destiny Church and its international ministries, still claims that he never harmed his wife and that she hit one who struck him. His divorce attorney, Randy Kessler, commented on Friday that, “Nothing has changed in the criminal case. It’s being scheduled for trail.”

It saddens me that two ionic figures in the body of Christ have found themselves in such a public mess that will only be corrected with time. However I think the American and especially the Christian public should not be quick to pre judge Bishop Weeks until he has had an opportunity to have his day in court…The society that we live in automatically will often times take the word of a female over a male when the issue is not clear…the alleged witness even said he never clearly saw Bishop Weeks hit Ms Bynum so why are so many of us ready to crucify this man before he has his day in court. Also I do not like the fact that Juanita Bynum is using the situation for self promotion.
Well from the Bible point of view all have sin and come short. lets be mindful and do what the Bible said pray and God do the rest. Jesus is the only one thats perfect. stop the talking and by faith hit your knees.
I am very disappointrd and want to know where are the real men and women of God why hasn’t any ministry spoken about the issue of Abuse it is real and occurs in the church people of God cannot continue to not address life issues people need help. Regardless of how issue came forward it is here now deal with it people of God someone in your congregation is battling abuse looking for help. Father God I pray right now that you send a bold soldier willing to help these wounded hurting people that you would heal their hearts as you make way to perfect your love in their lives
The bible says shun the very appearance of evil, it is evil to not adress this issue, to continue to bury your heads in the sand while people are dying. Dying in sin cause they go to church and not get help they need to live, it is not his will that any should perish, but have everlasting life. My God you who are called to preach the gospel, you who have churches need to go back to the old path and walk therein, because if you don’t know the needs of your congregation you need to spend more time on your face until you know you are in his presence. don’t just take their money pray for the people.

Problems come to a marriage when the woman won’t submit to the husband as God has said. This is for our protection. The Word of God says that husband and wife should have sex every day unless one is on a fast but even in that ; not to fast more than three days so the enemy won’t temp our mate. How can a woman who is married to her ministry first and formost submit if she is hardly at home or how can she obey God and have sex with the husband if she is never there but on the road most of the marriage. A man and a woman are to join their ministry together once married for a greater work unto the Lord. I am so thankful that Bishop Weeks is telling his side because Juanita hurt the entire body of Christ with all these charges. Everytime she spoke of these things we bleed in our heart and soul. I was an abused woman and I lived with it for over twenty years and protected my husband through much pain. No I was not correct in what I did for staying that long. But I married young and was in love and raising our children. We can’t give up after a problem or two. Coming out would have hurt more than him and I too preached and had a ministry. Because no wife who loves her husband tell after the first hit. So I never believed these charges against Bishop Weeks. I am now a counselor on Domestic Violence and knew right away that these were lies against Weeks. Bishop Weeks do not have the profile of a batterer. I heard many of his sermons and his heart is after God. Juanita messages to me were always harsh and I could see traces of a woman that is angry and even from her own sermons she has been abusive to him. As the Word of the Lord says, “our speech betray us.” How can one gain money and give all these interviews to be famous? God will make room for us and not we ourselves. A battered woman is silence and she pulls inwardly and she don’t seek attention nor want to talk about her story. It takes years before she tell unless she is in a shelter or call the police or a crisis line. And even then it is hard for a counselor to get these things out of her that are so painful. She looks so bad and hopeless, not all made up with makeup and want to be seen and cute. It takes a while for her to gain her self esteem and reframe her life back. No woman should joke or lie about being abused. No woman should lie on a man about being raped. How many men now are in jail for a crime that he did not comit? As we see from year to year many men now are being free through DNA testing, after spending years in jail for a crime he did were not guilty of. Hang in there Bishop Weeks because the truth will stand and God will reward you for your pain and shame. We believe you and can tell you are telling the truth. You guys blessed so many on the series “Teach me how to Love you.” Even when I watch many of those tapes I could see your pain and how Juanita would say things to hurt you. How can a woman of God withold sex unless the man wash the car at 2:00 A.M. in the morning first. And teaching those things to women of God. That Jezebel Hell spirit is in the Land and you know she always went after the life of the Prophet. The devil is a liar. In Jesus Name. To Juanita Bynum in your own words, “Shut every door.” Get back in place and watch God raise you back up in HIM. Forget all the money you said you are going to Hollywood to get. Their is only one Oprah and she is in Chicago. Submit and Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God. Question Juanita. What would Jesus Do?
I noticed a mean spirited juanita shortly after their wedding. They were on TBN When Tbn was looking for someone to play thepart of Esther. Juanita demanded that she should play that role. ranting and raving about her qualificatiohs,her beauty, and her ability to sing. She wouldn’t shut up. Even when Brother Crouch was tring to change the subject.
she still kept acting ludicrous..Bishop Weeks sat quietly by obviously embarssed. He managed to keep a smile on his face. What Real woman of god clown like that. She was overlymade up with eyelashs that were all wrong for her. Oprah she will never be. She has to much class. and she would never clown steadman. Bishop Weeks hold on. Whats done in the dark will come to the light. Maybe the word of God regarding women hasn’t been digested yet.

Any opinion that Ive made was regarding jumping to conclusions. And to encourage both of them to do the right thing. You have it twisted.
Let pray for the couple, that the Will of God be done in this situation. Bishop Weeks should confess the truth and believe God for a miracle. Juanita Bynum didn’t take her husband to court, he commited a crime, that why he is in court. She didn’t call the police on him the doctor called the police and the hotel, so she not the blame. Pray for them, their family and church/ministry members.
Juanita should have had my mother for a mother. She believed in telling the truth no matter who it hurts. Lie and she used switchology, prayerology, and mother wit. Thank God for those consulologist. Its far to late for that now. She needs to be delivered in the worse way. Only God himself can do the job now. Maybe there are prayed up saints left that can do it, because the focus isn’t for souls anymore its MONEY and other worldly goods. Our prayers should be deliverance for her and love. Remember its’ only Holiness or hell.
It’s really seems as thou the writers here have a deep hatered for each party, the only thing we should be doing is praying for them. This I am sure is probably one of the hardest times in their lives, if we are true Christian we should be praying for our brothers and sisters in the Lord even if they can’t pray for themselves right now. We r to cover them and lift them up, not tear them down with our words, it’s immature. It’s comments like these previously listed that make Prachers, ministers, etc. feel hopeless! Like everyone hates you for what you try to do. We can say what he needs to do and what she needs to do but the truth of the matter is WE WERE NOT THERE SO NONE OF US KNOW THE TRUTH but them and God and it’s left for the courts to decide. Other than that, pray for them, truly pray for them as if they were your family or friends. Dont you think that would be alot better than passing your own personal judgement!
I mean my goodness, can we give them a break, they r HUMAN, not super humans that don’t have troubles! WE HAVE ALL FALLEN SHORT, this isn’t TEAM WEEKS OR TEAM BYNUM, don’t be silly.
