Gospel performer Tye Tribbett’s latest CD, "Stand Out, " is the number one Gospel album on iTune this week.

The Columbia Records release, now in stores, also features vocals from Kim Burrell .

"Stand Out ," the New Jersey native’s third album, was recorded along side his choir G.A. (Greater Anointing ), which he formed in 1996. It was recorded at Rock Church International in Virginia Beach.

Tye Tribbett & Greater Anointing broke into the mainstream in 1998 when they appeared on the soundtrack, "The Prince of Egypt, " an inspirational album from DreamWorks . Tye Tribbett and G.A. then went on tour and performed with big names, such as Faith Hill and Tim McGraw , Luther Vandross , Elton John and Jill Scott . At a showcase with his cousin, neo-soul singer /songwriter Vivian Green , Tye , on keyboard, performed in his normal bigger-then-life showmanship way and it caught the eye of the executives who later signed him to the label.

He released, "Life, " in 2004 and "Victory Live! " in 2006 . "Victory ," entered the Billboard Top Gospel Albums Chart at number one and it earned him two Stellar Award wins and three Grammy nominations .
