Will Smith And Jada Smith Funded Private School Linked To Scientology: Smiths deny New Village Academy is a scientologist school.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith recently poured nearly a million dollars into the building of the New Village Academy in Calabasas , California . It will open its doors September 3, 2008 for about 40 students . The L. A. Times has reported that several of the teachers at the academy are Scientology members.

The director for the school said that the school “has no religious affiliation. ” The academy will provide financial assistance for 80% of its student enrollments.

Talk of Will Smith being linked to Scientology began with his friendship with well known Scientologist Tom Cruise .

Will told the New York Daily News that he and his wife are Christians and that he is a student of all religions.
