Here’s the latest on Rev. Timothy Wright of Brooklyn, NY. According to a spokesperson, the Gospel singer remains hospitalized in stable condition. Rev. Timothy Wright was critically injured when a suspected drunk driver driving the wrong way smashed head-on into their car on I-80 in Pennsylvania on July 4th.

The Grammy-nominated singer, known as the Godfather of Gospel, was returning from a Church of God in Christ conference in Detroit, with his wife and grandson, when the accident occurred.

At EUR Gospel’s deadline time Rev. Timothy Wright was expected to have surgery to repair a fractured jaw. He also suffered a fractured leg, ankle, ribs and neck from an automobile crash that killed his wife and grandson

A spokesperson told MyFoxNY.com that the Reverend, 61, is still unaware of his wife’s death. His sons said they will inform Rev Timothy Wright of his wife’s passing when his condition improves.
