Marvin Sapp continues to experience monumental success as his album “Thirsty” is certified Gold and his hit single, “Never Would Have Made It,” lands in the number one position on the Urban AC Chart according to Nielsen reporting.
“Never Would Have Made It” becomes the first Gospel song to hit the top Urban AC position since Yolanda Adams‘ “Open My Heart.”
In addition to being number one at Urban AC, “Never Would Have Made It” has spent a remarkable 42 weeks as the number one song at Gospel radio and is also the top selling Gospel ring-tone and ring-back. Additionally, “Thirsty” has been the number one CD on the Gospel sales charts for a total of 27 weeks.
Additionally, Marvin Sapp and his wife MaLinda are preparing for the first semester of students at the Grand Rapids Ellington Academy of Arts and Technology (GREAAT), the school they founded in partnership with the Grand Rapids Public School System.
