Take 6, the vocal powerhouse singers, continues to pave new trails as they pay tribute to jazz greats via their new CD to be released September 30 titled “The Standard.”
The newest project from the legendary sextet will feature guest appearances by Aaron Neville, Al Jarreau, George Benson, Jon Hendricks, and Roy Hargrove.
R&B crooner Brian McKnight teams up with the guys on a remake of Marvin Gaye’s, “What’s Going On.”
Though the CD highlights mostly jazz standards it does offer new inspirational tunes, “Shall We Gather at the River” and heavenly sounds of “Grace.”
