“Gospel Goes Classical started back in 1994 and has been growing from strength to strength every since. The sponsorship for the entire event, was and is by the city of Birmingham, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and the offices of State Representative John Rodgers.
One Gospel Goes Classical most memorable shows, was on June 2003. With a stunning live presentation from Dorinda Clark Cole, Byron Cage and the music of Tramaine Hawkins with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and Choir, conducted by Dr Henry Panion III.
Vickie Mack Lataillade, CEO of Gospo Centric Records , sponsored artist appearance, for the groundbreaking event. “Gospel Goes Classical began as a dream and evolved into the most sought after event, in the Music Industry.”
On that night, an ordinary event became an extraordinary event.
