Exciting New Gospel Artist, Conrad Miller, Delivers Refreshing Change to Spiritual Song: Produced By GRAMMY Winner Steven Ford

Philadelphia, PA, – A new approach to Gospel music that brings a touching and emotional satisfaction to listeners is now available for those seeking a genuine and satisfying musical experience. The CD, produced by GRAMMY, Stellar and Dove Award winner Steven Ford, is called “My Journey” and is the gospel debut of singer and composer Conrad Miller. The project is a collection of original songs by the artist offering an uplifting presentation of Gospel music in the “New Traditional” style. The first musical offering out of the gate from Millcon Music Ministries, the CD hit stores on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 and is marketed, promoted and distributed by Edmondson Communications, Inc.

Although the new release is his first in the gospel music realm, Conrad Miller has had moderate success on the urban side of the music industry. He was a member of MGM Recording Artist “(The Soulful Seven), an R&B group, for 5 years. In addition, he wrote a popular 70s tune, Carla, My Love, originally recorded by The Softones. After a spiritual renewal, he began writing gospel music. But it was the sudden death of his daughter that made him realize the brevity of life and the need to get the music inside him out. Conrad has dedicated this project to the loving memory of his daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Denise Miller, who was called home to Glory the day after her 16th birthday.

My Journey contains 11 original new songs and features the bouncy “Amazing,” the compelling song, “Breathe On Me,” the very inspirational track, “From Here Through Eternity,” and the rousing tribute to mothers everywhere, “Momma Prayed For Me.” The song entitled “Jesus Is The Way” was co-written by Lauren.

Conrad Miller tapped well-known producer, Steven Ford, known for his work with artists such as Richard Smallwood, Vickie Winans, Donnie McClurkin, The Winans, and many others, to head the recording process. According to Steven Ford, “Conrad Miller’s approach to his musical style is a refreshing change and a demonstration of his ability to create music that shows the dynamics of one’s life experiences.”

Each of Conrad Miller’s original “My Journey” songs tells a compelling and soul-captivating story, based largely upon the New Testament scripture and his life experiences. This collection of meaningful input helps inspire and uplift listeners on their spiritual journey. His songs range in style from “traditional quartet Gospel,” to “new traditional,” and to “contemporary Christian.” They also draw upon some of the best-loved elements of classic Gospel music, but also include reminiscent hints of his early popular music influences.
