Youthful Praise Featuring JJ Hairston’s new project “Resting On His Promise“, hit the stores yesterday. Once again they have produced another anointed project. Filled with positive messages to help you through these trying times.

I have listen to this album and it has truly been a blessing on my life. Youthful Praise Featuring JJ Hairston “Resting On His Promise”, has great songs like the opening track “You Reign” a big praise and worship anthem, foot stomping tunes like “Hear Me Lord” and “Great Expectations (feat Myron Butler) and soul stirring praise and worship tracks like “Awesome Wonder“, “Powerful God” and the title track “Resting On His Promise“. In addition to all these great tracks, the project is topped of with spirit filled performances by Dorinda Clark Cole on “Still Mighty, Still Strong” and Pastor Shirley Caesar on “High Praise“.

Youthful Praise and JJ Hairston have done it again on this album. They have captured the very essence on Worship and Praise. One of my favourite songs simpley says “Lord You’re Beautiful“, the title speak for itself.

1. What can fans expect from your new album?

A lot of upbeat praise, of course intimate worship, some good old fashion church choir music, and a lot of the sound that the people who have the first YP record would recognize.

2. How would you say RESTING ON HIS PROMISE compares with your previous albums, stylistically and spiritually?

Stylistically I think it’s a little more balanced than our previous albums. I think most of our albums have either been all praise and worship, or all choir music. This album is a mixture of both. I think spiritually it’s just a little more mature than our previous projects. All of our songs are always based on the word of God, but this record has songs which not only quote the scriptures, but also talk about how to apply the scriptures to our every day lives.

3. What was the inspiration for the title track and single, “Resting On His Promise”?

I wanted to encourage God’s people in this crazy economic time. There are some people who may have lost jobs or are worried about losing a job. Or just worried about what their financial future is going to be. I just wanted to encourage them to rest on the promises of God.

4. What’s your favorite song on this new album?

That would be “Close To You”. It’s a very intimate and personal worship song. I sing that song all the time (by myself, LOL)
