Marvin Sapp is gearing up to record his next album. The live CD/DVD recording is slated to take place on October 16, 2009 at Resurrection Life Church in Wyoming, Michigan. The recording will cap off a week long celebration of twenty years of ministry for Marvin. The week’s events will feature Smokie Norful, Hezekiah Walker, Bishop Joseph Walker, and Bishop Liston Page as guest speakers. The live recording will feature Aaron Lindsay returning as producer of the effort. This effort is the follow up to Thirsty, which produced the smash hit “Never Would Have Made It”.
In other Marvin Sapp news, he will be in Washington D.C. tonight performing and judging at the How Sweet The Sound Competition. Thousands of people will be gathered at the Verizon Center in Northwest to cheer on their favorite choir or group as “How Sweet The Sound: The Search for the Best Church Choir in America” makes its tour stop in the D.C. Donald Lawrence will once again serve as host. Also expected to be on hand to perform and serve as judges will be Hezekiah Walker and Tye Tibbett.
