James Jackson & Atlanta Praise Are Set To Release Their Debut CD:

For four years now, ISMEG has been making a steady and triumphant noise around Atlanta with its debut artists James Jackson & Atlanta Praise.

James Jackson & Atlanta Praise are a young group of singers who have shared the stage with notable artists Dottie Peoples, Paul Porter, Mary Mary, Byron Cage, Bobby Jones, Reuben Studdard ,Tye Tribbett, Kierra Sheard, Jonathan Nelson and Steven Hurd, exciting and inspiring audiences around the country with their exuberant and powerful music.

In addition, the group was named best choir/group at the Gospel Choice Awards recorded for television in Atlanta. James Jackson & Atlanta Praise has appeared on the Gospel Music Channel, the Word network, Bobby Jones’ Next Generation, and the soon to be televised Gospel Superfest recorded in Atlanta.

Recently, the group was distinguished as Atlanta’s winner in the small choir category in the Verizon Wireless How Sweet the Sound Contest. With the crossover style of Kirk Franklin, the vocal power of Donald Lawrence’s Tri City Singers, and the take it to church directing style of the group leader’s mentor, James Cleveland, the group will soon be sweeping the radio waves and music charts.

James Jackson & Atlanta Praise is currently working on their yet to be titled debut CD on International Sound Music Entertainment Group. The lead single and video for the project is “Thank You (Everybody Clap Your Hands)” The song has the infectious sample of Kurtis Blow’s hip hop classic, “The Breaks” and a groove that gets you in the mood to get your praise on. Although the music is the draw, the songs’ co-writer Danetra Moore Jackson says, “The message is clear. In spite of our mistakes, circumstances and what we go through, God continues to show His grace and mercy and give us favor everyday and we always want to thank Him for it.”

The music video features cameo appearances from Canton Jones, Larry Tinsley and comedian, Bruce Bruce.
