On Twitter and in a simple message that titled “In Loving Memory” on his Web site, Tyler Perry announced the death of his mother, Willie Maxine Perry.
Mrs. Perry, who was 64 died on Tuesday Dec. 8th. A New Orleans school teacher, Mrs Perry had been sick since late August, also according to TylerPerry.com.
Tyler Perry credits his mother, who worked most of her adult life at a Jewish Community center, for being one of the figures in his life that inspired his character Madea.
