David Frazier, acclaimed songwriter of the church anthem “I Need You To Survive” has penned yet another anthem that will soon impact the world. At the recent historical Great Gathering conference where the country’s three largest African-American Methodist denominations (African Methodist Episcopal – AME, African Methodist Episcopal Zion - AME Zion, and Christian Methodist Episcopal – CME) representing over five million members convened in unity for the first time in 45 years, David Frazier unveiled a new song that completely captivated the seven thousand member audience in attendance.
“David Frazier’s “Touch and Agree” (The Unity Song) set the tone and charged the atmosphere at this conference. The three Methodist organizations were profoundly impacted with his covenant people music”, stated The Great Gathering conference coordinator Rev. George McCain.
The Grammy winning, Stellar and Dove nominated songwriter and keyboardist has been called ‘One of Gospel music’s most successful and consistent songwriters’ by the L.A. Times and again rose to his calling as a messenger of the Word through song at The Great Gathering in Columbia, SC.
“It’s always an awesome experience to introduce a new thought or concept through music and see the way people respond and the way God’s spirit confirms that same thought as He did at the Great Gathering with the song ‘Touch and Agree’,” David expresses.
David’s current CD project Psalms Hymns & Spiritual Songs Vol. III featuring the radio smash “Favor” is in stores and online now. Also included on the project are stand out tracks “Totally” featuring John Murray, Worship Leader from The Potter’s House in Dallas, TX and the infectious Praise and Worship song “Be A Worship”.
Over the next month, David will be making stops in San Diego, Los Angeles, Newark and Queens to minister more of his covenant people music. And with the undeniable instant connection with “Touch and Agree” (The Unity Song) David will be in the studio readying the song for a spring release.
