David Frazier has been called one of Gospel music’s most successful and consistent songwriters. His covenant people music has won Grammy, Dove and Stellar Awards. Stemming off the successful Psalms, Hymns & Spiritual Songs Vol. III: FAVOR CD, which has sold over 14,000 units, the celebrated songwriter is gearing up for the live recording of Psalms, Hymns & Spiritual Songs Vol. IV: DESTINY.
David Frazier’s live recording will take place on October 8 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Dallas, TX. The recording starts at 7PM and will feature special appearances by Harvey Watkins (of the Canton Spirituals) and Gospel’s powerhouse vocalist Lisa Page-Brooks. The live recording is free to the public.
With a music career spanning over two decades, David has written and recorded over 70 songs with and for many of today’s top Gospel artists like Yolanda Adams, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Karen Clark-Sheard, Jonathan Nelson, The Colorado Mass Choir, Bishop Bruce Parham, Donald Malloy and Bishop Paul S. Morton. David has received two Stellar Award nominations for “Song of the Year” and one Dove Award nomination for “Traditional Song of the Year”.
David Frazier has written over twenty-six songs, for Bishop Hezekiah Walker’s Love Fellowship Choir over a span of eleven albums and twenty-two years. David’s songs “Power Belongs to God”, “We Made It”, “Do You Know Jesus”, “How Much We Can Bear” and the church anthem “I Need You To Survive”, have garnered Bishop Walker three Grammy awards, 4 Dove awards and 4 Stellar awards respectively.
David is not only an award winning songwriter and keyboardist; he is the author of book Send For Me A Minstrel: Music Ministry Principles for The 21st Century. His book is in its 6th edition.
