DTWG Choir/Group is becoming a renowned name in the UK Gospel industry, founded in 2003 by Sam Adebanjo & support from others. Their vision “Is to use the powerful message of the gospel to impact their generation; as well as promoting gospel music in mainstream communities”.
They were recently invited to sing by the world most famous chef; Jamie Oliver to sing on his Show on Chanel 4. They have had a Sold out UK tour in 2007. Their 2010 UK Tour attracted thousands in over 10 cities, including London, Manchester, Liverpool, Reading, Northampton, Sheffield, and Leeds.
Their Music has been well received by Christians and non-Christians across the country. Since the release of ‘The Project’ DTWG album, DTWG has received much recognition, recently winning the BEFFTA Awards for Best Gospel Act category 2010. They have also been nominated for the MOBO Awards 2009, Gospel Music Awards 2009 & 2010, African Music Award and Urban Music Award 2010.
The group consist of various members from different churches in the UK, some of their members are soloist artist. Their songs are adaptable, flexible and create dynamic melodies with rich harmonies, known for their funky gospel flair, swing-beat, R’n'B, traditional and soulful arrangements, with invigorating choreography and vocal gymnastics.
