Hezekiah Walk Is Back With His 13th Album “Souled Out” Released on Zomba Gospel: In Stores Now!!

Hezekiah Walker, one of the most renowned voices of Gospel will be releasing his 13th CD, “Souled Out,” November 4 on Zomba Gospel. The title track, also the first single, boasts the signature high-powered praise of Walker’s formidable choir. The title song is a sure to be a classic.

“In this day and age that we’re living in – with high gas prices, the mortgage crisis, job problems, the economy — a lot of times that can really hold people back from giving themselves to God and to the church,” Walker said. “What I’m trying to communicate to everyone is that we have really made up in our minds that there’s no turning back. We’re going all the way with this Jesus thing. We’re completely ‘souled out.’ Our soul is completely given over to God.”

Produced by Donald Lawrence, “Souled Out” fuses up-tempo rhythms with Walker’s straight-to-the-heart worship style and traditional Gospel lyrics. Guests on the album include Ricardo Sanchez on the uplifting “Moving Forward” and Shawn McLemore on the reprise of the classically rendered “It Shall Come To Pass.”

One of Hezekiah Walker’s personal favorites is the melodically rich “God Favored Me,” featuring DJ Rogers and Marvin Sapp. “O Give Thanks” is a harmonic treat that is a traditional timepiece that continues to assert that Walker means business when it comes to Sunday morning worship. While the waltz-like, almost romantic “There’s No Way I Could Live Without You” is a song of thanksgiving and adoration that also works as a choral acknowledgment of the many blessings God has bestowed on the life of this famed choir.

When not leading his blockbuster ensemble or splitting his time pasturing churches in New York and Pennsylvania, Hezekiah Walker gets behind a microphone of a different sort: he’s a radio host on New York’s 1190 WLIB. He also is currently a celebrity judge for Verizon Wireless’ national choir competition How Sweet The Sound.

Singer J. Moss must pay child support

Judge enters default order against West Bloomfield gospel artist J. Moss in Ga. woman’s paternity lawsuit. An Oakland Circuit Court judge has signed a default judgment in a paternity case against gospel recording artist J. Moss, ordering him to pay child support to a Georgia woman.

J. Moss, whose real name is James L. Moss Sr. and lives in West Bloomfield Township, was named in a paternity lawsuit filed in June by Lakisha Hughes, 28, of Douglasville, Ga., concerning her son, Christion, born March 15. A court-ordered DNA test subsequently determined the 36-year-old Moss is the boy’s father with “99.9 percent” accuracy, according to the court file. “I really don’t wish to discuss this — it’s a difficult situation involving children, two families and also careers,” said Lakisha Hughes on Thursday.

J Moss could not be reached for comment at his home or recording studio, PAJAM Music in Oak Park. When J Moss failed to respond to court filings, Oakland Circuit Judge Cheryl Matthews signed a judgment Monday prepared by the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office requiring J Moss to pay $1,028 a month support until the boy turns 18 years old. Court documents reveal Lakisha Hughes is unemployed, has a teenage daughter and is divorced. J Moss is listed as married and has two other children with his wife. Court filings indicate J Moss admitted to Lakisha Hughes as being the father of her son and even sent her text messages regarding her pregnancy and the child — and “I still have them,” she noted in one filing.

Lakisha Hughes and J Moss never lived together, she told the court. Hughes also said Moss offered to pay abortion expenses but never provided any of the medical care. He never visited the child, but had given her “a total of $450 for Christion,” she wrote.

J Moss records and produces recordings under PAJAM Music. Lakisha Hughes estimated in the court filing his gross monthly earnings at $50,000. J Moss is the son of gospel star Bill Moss Sr. and grew up on tours with his father’s group, Bill Moss and the Celestials, and a cousin’s group, The Clark Sisters. J Moss, who grew up in Detroit and attended Michigan State University for two years, is a tenor who plays keyboards and both writes and produces music with his production group PAJAM. J Moss has recorded several albums, including “The J. Moss Project” and was a co-writer and/or producer for others including Karen Clark-Sheard, Hezekiah Walker, N’SYNC, Michelle Williams, Trin-i-tee 5:7, Dru Hill and Boyz II Men. He has been nominated for a Grammy several times.

Estee Bullock was born in Port Chester, NY and raised in Brooklyn. He came to know the Lord as his personal Savior in 1982. In his early teens he became a founding member of the Grammy Award winning Love Fellowship Crusade Choir, under the direction of Elder Hezekiah Walker, and was afforded the opportunity to travel worldwide ministering in song. Although his passion for music started when he was a toddler, Estee Bullock accredits his years of serving with the Crusade Choir for developing a greater love for music and songwriting. At the same time, a strong passion for praise and worship was birthed.

This love and fervor inspired him to acquire more knowledge and skill in the area of music. In an effort to do so, he attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia H.S. of Music and Arts/Performing Arts where he majored in Vocal Performance. Upon graduation he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA where he studied Music Business/Management. There he learned various concepts and techniques that contributed to the growth and development of his personal music ministry and to his being able to serve effectively as Praise & Worship Leader and Choir Director of Love Fellowship Tabernacle (NY).

In 2002, Estee Bullock was joined in holy matrimony to his long-time sweetheart, Stacey Bullock. They have two sons Joshua (4yrs old) and Ethan (4 months old). Estee and his family relocated from Brooklyn, NY to Bensalem, PA in 2004 to assist in building the ministry of Love Fellowship Tabernacle (PA) where he faithfully serves as the Praise & Worship Leader, Youth President, Sunday School Instructor, and Music Coordinator. He continues to write and produce songs for various artists while working on his own compilations. His writing and production credits include Hezekiah Walker, NY Metropolitan Choir, Jules Bartholomew’s Judah Camp, Donovan Henry and a host of independent artists. He is a well sought after soloist and seminar/workshop facilitator. Outside of music ministry, Estee’s favorite pastime is spending quality time with his wife and their two sons.

On Sunday August 3rd at 10a.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, thousands will gather from around the country for the closing services of the 89th International Holy Convocation for the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Inc.

During this ceremony Chief Apostle Bishop William Bonner will announce the elevation of Pastor Hezekiah Walker, Love Fellowship Tabernacle Brooklyn, New York into the sacred position of Bishop.

After 14 years of pasturing one of the fastest growing churches in the New York City area and in Ben Salem, Pennsylvania; and having fellowship churches in Long Island, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and recently a Love Fellowship Tabernacle “The Kingdom Church” in Capetown, South Africa; Pastor Walker has been chosen to be consecrated into the bishopric by Chief Apostle Bishop William L. Bonner.

“This honor means so much to me but also to my churches. Words can not express how I feel to receive this elevation from Bishop William L. Bonner, truly this is a blessing from God,” states Pastor Walker.

The ceremony will take place in the Georgia World Congress Center, Hall B-3, located at 285 Andrew Young International Blvd., NW, Atlanta, Georgia.
